Biography

Stefan Zeisberger is associate professor of FinTech – Experimental Finance at the University of Zurich. He is also professor for financial economics at Radboud University in the Netherlands and lecturer at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance.

Previously he held positions at, among others, at the California Institute of Technology and Stony Brook University in New York where he founded and directed the Center for Behavioral Finance. His research is driven by the importance of psychology in finance and investment decisions. As a result, it focuses on behavioral finance, in particular risk preferences and perception and investment decision making, in combination with the digitalization of the finance industry. He conducts both fundamental and research relevant for the industry and society. His work has been published in, for example, the Review of Financial Studies, Review of Finance and Management Science.

He is also scientific board member of the Society for Experimental Finance and served five years until 2021 in their management board. He is further affiliated with the Swiss FinTech Innovation Lab.
