We are proud to present the new "DBF award for Excellence in Teaching" for extraordinary teaching efforts by our PhD students in the past academic year. Daniel Grosshans was awarded for the fall term 21, and Alexander Smirnow, Urban Ulrych and Patrick Matei Lucescu for the spring term 22. Congratulations to you all!
Daniel Grosshans has won the first-ever annual award for teaching as a PhD student. He received the award for his excellent teaching in his two exercise classes on Advanced Microeconomics and Economic Foundations for Finance. Students paid tribute to his teaching through outstanding teaching evaluations.
Alexander Smirnow, Urban Ulrych and Patrick Matei Lucescu were part of the dean's office's pilot project BYOD (bring your own device). They organised the exam in this new setup and obtained fantastic results. A lot of work went into making this success possible.
