This workshop marks the beginning of a planned annual series organized by the Universities of Zurich and Bern. The goal of this event-series is to highlight outstanding contributions in both real estate finance and urban economics and to foster interaction among researchers in the two fields.

Event: The Zurich-Bern Real Estate Finance and Economics Workshop 2025

Keynote Speakers:
The Finance and Economics Departments at the University of Zurich and the Economics Department at the University of Bern invite submissions from all areas of real estate finance and urban/real estate economics for presentation at the 1st Zurich-Bern Real Estate Finance and Economics annual workshop.
We welcome both theoretical and empirical contributions. Each accepted paper will be assigned a discussant, and participants may be invited to discuss another researcher's paper.
Researchers interested in participating are invited to submit a paper in PDF format to realestate.workshop@df.uzh.ch. Preference will be given to fully completed drafts. The submission deadline is February 16, 2025. Applications from early-career researchers are especially encouraged. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by March 14, 2025. Accommodation costs for invited speakers and discussants will be fully covered for up to two nights.
