Prof. Dr. Christian Hilber

Christian Hilber holds a part-time professorship ad personam (20%) at the Department of Finance at the University of Zurich.

He studied economics and business administration at the University of Basel, where he received his doctorate in 1998. He then moved to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia as a postdoc. Since 2003, Prof. Hilber has been a lecturer at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In 2011, he was appointed Associate Professor of Economic Geography and was promoted to Full Professor in 2016. Prof. Hilber is currently the Deputy Head of his department at the LSE and an Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance.
