The world is facing significant challenges, ranging from climate change to inequality and biodiversity loss. Consequently, financial markets have gained heightened attention in both academic research and practical implementation, necessitating the development of sustainable business models.
Watch our Initiative in Sustainable Finance Image Video featuring Zacharias Sautner, Falko Paetzold, Steven Ongena and Markus Leippold introducing the four focus areas: Financial Institutions and Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Finance, Private Wealth and Sustainable Investing and Climate and Biodiversity Finance.
Founded on a rich history of contributions to the fields of banking, finance, and insurance, the UZH Department of Finance plays a pivotal role in shaping society – also in sustainable finance.
The Initiative in Sustainable Finance spans multiple disciplines within finance and is dedicated to addressing the pressing challenges of our time, ranging from climate change to biodiversity or the integration of artificial intelligence tools.
The initiative is the bridge between this academic excellence and the financial industry. By fostering collaboration between diverse stakeholders, we are committed to making sustainable finance not just a concept, but a tangible reality.
We do so via the direct exchange with leaders in the financial industry, public events and the proactive, systematic, and professional communication of critical tools, insights and datasets as soon as they become available.
