We are pleased to announce that Dr. Urban Ulrych has been awarded the PLEXUS Advancement Award for Artificial Intelligence in the Financial Sector. The recognition is based on his doctoral thesis titled "Applications of Statistical Learning in Quantitative Finance."
Urban Ulrych pursued his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Financial Mathematics at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, followed by a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from the University of Zurich. He later completed his PhD in Finance at the University of Zurich through the Swiss Finance Institute PhD Program.
The award, endowed with €10,000, acknowledges Ulrych's significant contributions to the field of artificial intelligence and its application in the financial sector. His research highlights the implementation of statistical learning methodologies in quantitative finance.
