50 Years Banking & Finance
Founded in 1968, Banking & Finance at the University of Zurich celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018
The "Swiss Banking Institute" was formally founded in the summer of 1968 by the Government Council of the Canton of Zurich. Soon after, in October 1968, the department started its operations at Rämistrasse 62 close to the UZH main building.
This year's 50th anniversary is an excellent opportunity to celebrate, to look back at the multifaceted history, and to honor many success stories since the foundation.
It is also the right moment to think about interesting future challenges. For this purpose the department has organized a public anniversary celebration on October 3, 2018, in the UZH main building.
