The world is a diverse place, even considering today's globalized economy. Cultural differences are still considerable. This also affects financial decision making which is influenced by economic as well as cultural differences. Differences in financial decision making, however, lead to differences between financial markets. In this class, we are discussing recent research on these cultural differences, and also how they can sometimes be used to test theories in behavioral finance. The basis for the class are research papers. The class will also include some small research project that participants will conduct in groups.
