MA Game-based Learning - Development of interdisciplinary learning games
Interdisciplinary Seminar
Please note: This seminar will only be held in German
In this seminar, we will work in groups to design and implement our own small interdisciplinary (learning) games - be it a computer-based game, a board game or a card game. The seminar will be thematically open so that interdisciplinary ideas can be developed in an agile and creative design thinking process. The students will be accompanied and supported in the development process by the seminar leader and design thinking experts. The learning games developed in the seminar will then be further developed by the game-based learning project team and ideally used later in teaching.
Learning objectives
- Students know the basics of gamification and game-based learning as well as their diverse areas of application in teaching.
- Students know the individual steps of the design thinking process - from understanding the problem to the playable prototype.
- Students can evaluate existing gamification and game-based learning elements.
- Students can apply the concepts they have learned and create their own interdisciplinary (learning) game.
Creditability
The seminar is open to students at Master's level in all fields of study. The number of participants is limited.
